Leader of Warrington Borough Council, Russ is a nuclear safety specialist and keen outdoors person. He is a longstanding champion of Birchwood’s open spaces and natural habitats. He also strives to make Birchwood an enjoyable place to live and a leading workplace that provides quality opportunities for local people and those across the town.
A retired nurse and Senior Lecturer in Palliative Care, Judith also previously managed a hospice. She leads on the environment, waste and planning at the council and wants the best for Birchwood, ensuring it is a clean, green place to live. Truly passionate about the environment, she has been a member of the Mersey Forest Group, based at Risley Moss for several years. Birchwood is blessed with a beautiful green heritage and Judith will use her experience to make sure it stays that way.
David has lived with his family in Birchwood for 37 years. He is a chemistry graduate and has worked in a wide variety of marketing roles. He was a governor at Locking Stumps school for 6 years. As a town councillor, he has worked extensively to resolve resident issues.
He put together an extensive resident survey and strategic plan and has worked for tenant rights with Your Housing Group. As chair of trustees at Birchwood Youth and Community Centre he has transformed its finances and brought more activities to residents. David has done a wide variety of voluntary work including in suicide prevention, as a volunteer mentor and as a governor at Warrington Hospital.
