Jean Flaherty

A retired managing director, Jean is a very active community champion and honoured to be the Deputy Mayor of Warrington.  A lifelong local resident, she is committed to improving the area for people through environmental and community projects tackling hunger, isolation and mental wellbeing.  She is the bedrock of the many and varied activities for adults and children that happen at St Elphins Park having opened The Pavilion Tea Rooms where she continues regularly to volunteer.

Tony Higgins

An experienced councillor and the Councils lead member for leisure and communities, Tony was instrumental in securing the future for Warringtons libraries.  As an unpaid carer, Tony understands and values the enormous contribution volunteers make to our communities.  Tony has driven investments in Warringtons parks, including St Elphins, where he was one of the founders of the Friends group and supports many community events throughout the year including the annual Howley carnival. He is Chair of the Central 6 Delivery Board.

Sagheer Zaman

With a degree in IT, Sagheer has first-hand experience of the difficulties of raising a young family while running a small business during the pandemic. He is involved in a number of community projects focused on bringing people together locally and across Warrington. Sagheer is a regular volunteer with the Friends of St Elphins Park and Warrington Ethnic Communities Association.
